North Charleston Wannamaker County Park offers over 1,015 acres of beautiful woodlands and wetlands. This nature-oriented park, designed for group and family use, provides guests with a variety of recreational opportunities.
Pack a picnic and spend the day enjoying the park’s many amenities. Explore the area; walk, skate, or bike (bring your own or rent one of ours) on the 2 miles of paved trails. Cool off in the spray play area (opened seasonally). Rent a boat and explore the 5-acre lagoon system. Relax while the children romp on the large play hill, on the 2 playgrounds, or in the 7.7 acres of grassy open meadows. You can challenge your friends to a game at one of the sand volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. Even the pup can exercise and have fun at the park’s off-leash dog area. Picnic sites with grills are located throughout the park for your enjoyment.
