Mount Pleasant Pier

Enjoy the beautiful views of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge and Charleston Harbor from bench swings and shade structures located on the 1,250-ft Mount Pleasant Pier. Part of the Memorial Waterfront Park complex, the pier’s foundation was created from pared-down pilings from the old Grace Memorial Bridge. One end of the pier features an 8,100-square-foot covered pavilion for hosting dances and other events.

Enjoy a day of fishing (daily fishing fee required). Don’t worry if you don’t have your tackle or if you’re a beginner, we have rods available for rent and bait available for purchase. Take part in a little competition during our seasonal fishing tournaments. A variety of special events are offered throughout the year. Dogs, other than service animals, are not permitted on the pier. Fully accessible restrooms available.

Take a moment to unwind and have a bite to eat. The River Watch Café and Gift Shop has a wonderful menu of made-to-order sandwiches, ice cream, and fresh-baked pastries. We have an awesome snack and sandwich. When you are done, enjoy a little retail therapy. Delight in a shop full of unique Lowcountry-themed souvenirs.
