The Pete Dye masterpiece garnered worldwide attention when it hosted the 1991 Ryder Cup. In 2012, Rory McIlroy posted the largest margin of victory in a PGA Championship, and Phil Mickelson made history in 2021 as the oldest person to win a major when the PGA Championship returned.

This Gary Player design (and the island's first course) remains a players' favorite as it winds through maritime forest, stands of mature live oak and along the marsh bordering the Kiawah River.

This Clyde Johnston masterpiece offers a variety of challenges from holes set in windswept tracts alongside salt marshes to fairways carved out of thick forest.

At Osprey Point, Tom Fazio created a stunning par-72 layout onto a superb natural canvas that features four natural lakes, fingers of saltwater marsh, and dense maritime forests of live oaks, pines, palmettos and magnolias.

This course has hosted several championships, including the Carolina 1987, 1992 & 2006 Amateur and the 1990 PGA Cup Matches, the club professionals' version of the Ryder Cup. The layout exemplifies Jack Nicklaus’ guiding design philosophy to “make the player use his mind ahead of his muscles.”
